Definitely LOVE this song and needs to continue to be on set list. It never gets old. I also think next summer should bring back some of the old set lists!!! Lorenzo Fredenberg and Paige Lynette Baker can both sing ANYTHING 🥰

Well… it’s a story that involves Yogi Bear, a newspaper headline, and a name that had to change! 😂
Long before they were Boogie & the Yo-Yoz, they were known as Yogi & the Boo Boos—until a little trademark trouble with Hanna-Barbera changed everything.

I’m so confused. I met my wife in 2004. Yogi and the boo booz was our favorite at the time. I swear it was that name and the name changed shortly after. Other people have said the name changed well before we became a fan. Perhaps I should do less meth.
Grew up seeing Yogi and the Boo Boos every summer
Same thing happened back home in sturgeon bay. Bar called Poh’s use to be Poo’s. The owner looked like a teddy bear. They got the letter to change their name or else.

One of my very first dates with my now wife, Trisha was to a Boogie show very shortly after this event on Valentines Day of 1998 at Crystal Falls. If memory serves, the band was comprised of Brian, Eric, Dave, Bill, Aaron, Brad, Jeni, and Mike at the time. Trish's knowledge of the band precedes mine. There must have been some magic in that Valentine show, because here we are just a few years later, still together. To that end, I thank you for the role you all played along the way.
Here’s an interesting side story regarding another legal dispute over naming rights during that same time period. “Yogi and the Boo Booz” played a Christmas party that year for “United Health of Wisconsin”. Shortly after that party, United Health Care (based in Minnesota) announced plans to expand into Wisconsin and filed a lawsuit. That settlement resulted in United Health of Wisconsin insurance company changing their name to Touchpoint. Back in the late 1990’s to early 2000’s there was an explosion of copyright infringement and naming rights lawsuits, but could conspiracy theorists have an argument that these two incidents were connected somehow? I think it’s more likely that the timing is just an interesting coincidence.
I like current name better, it’s more catchy.
Sure do remember it!! Even my mom started us on this! Even more after the name change and Bill Tesch and his family are something I remember when I was a naughty child back in the day 😂

Over the years im biased to the Wildhorse(Ryders Roadhouse) shows, Tiki Beach being the next. It was great to see them after I was able to break out of the hospital. to see that first clip being Kellner clinched it. I grew up knowing of this band and hearing the stories since my mom first went to the show at 5 Star Lanes, 20 some years ago. I didn't start going till I was probably 20(?) So 14 years of loving the music and atmosphere. Thank you all for the amazing times and memories, seeing you rhay first weekend I could after I got out was exactly what Iwanted/needed to feel normal even if i had to sit in a chair because I couldn't stand that long. ❤️ 😘 🫂
I was blessed to go to a few shows this summer and had the best time at every single one and they were my favorite memories of the summer! I’d have to say the downtown neenah show for many reasons…. The random downpour and being soaked head to toe was actually pretty fun. 🤣 We witnessed the most beautiful rainbow right above your stage, followed by the most heartwarming Christmas song with arms up singing along gave us chills, and of course your amazing talent and dancing to everything as always! We love the songs Turn around and Iris! And an added bonus it was an early evening show because I like going to bed at 9p 👵🏻🤣

My summer was busy with sports on the weekend that I wasn't able to catch any shows during the summer. 🙁
Saw you at May fest in New London and brought my friend Kristy Smith who saw you for her 1st time ever and absolutely fell in love… Greenville Summer Send off with my daughter Katrina Petrie who has been to shows several times and saw Boogie and the Yo-yoz when Mom was still alive and LOVED the entire group… Then at Fabel's with my friend Kristy for a 2nd time. I think she secretly loves seeing Lorenzo Fredenberg do MJ 🤣 but because my mom got us to see Boogie several times as Eric Paul Peters was like a son to her, we all STILL love Boogie and enjoy every time we each see you and can't wait for many more ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
